Obituary for John Melancon
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne for John Melancon, 56, who passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Meriot Health Hospital in Biloxi, MS.
Deacon Tim Ledet, from St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in St. Joseph New Cemetery in Rayne.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 9:30 A.M. until time of services in the Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne. A Rosary will be recited at 10:30 A.M.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa D. Blair Melancon of Gulfport, MS; his nephew, Matthew Melancon of Slidell, La.; his father and step mother, Maurice J. Melancon, Sr. and Martutik Melancon of Houston, TX; two brothers, Maurice Melancon, Jr. of Baton Rouge, Nicholas Melancon of Houma; four sisters, Linda and husband, Keith Simon of Tyrone, GA, Jane and husband, Edward LaGrange of Rayne, Lena and husband, Michael Meche of Rayne, Jane and husband, Justin Kaster of Minneapolis, MN.
Mr. Melancon was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Credeur; his paternal grandparents, Maurice Theodore and Matilde Marie LeBlanc Melancon, his maternal grandparents, Orluse and Utah Credeur.
