Church Point- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 2:00 P M for Elsie Pitre, 78, at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA with Peré Rozas as Celebrant. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 11:00 AM in the Duhon Funeral Home-Church Point Chapel. Interment will follow the Mass and will be in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery "New" in Church Point, LA. Mrs. Pitre passed away on Friday, December 6, 2019 at Opelousas General Hospital in Opelousas, LA.
Mrs. Pitre is survived by her children, Wanda Rogers of Branch, LA, Lanny Guidry of Dripping Springs, TX, Dena Soileau of Prosper, TX, Sonya Pomier of Opelousas, LA and Jodie Guidry of Opelousas, LA; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Harold Castille of Opelousas, LA and one, sister, Judy Saucier of Fort Worth, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, A B Pierre Castille and Josephine LeBleu Castille and one son, Lyle Guidry.
