Rayne- A Liturgy of the Word Service will be celebrated for Vernice Thibodeaux, 87, at 2:30 PM on Monday, December 23, 2019 in the Duhon Funeral Home-Rayne Chapel with Deacon Denis LaCroix officiating. Visitation will begin in the funeral home chapel on Monday at 9:00 AM and will continue until just prior to the chapel service. Interment will follow the chapel service and will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery “New” in Rayne, LA. Mr. Thibodeaux passed away on Friday, December 20, 2019 at Southwind Nursing and Rehab Center in Crowley, LA.
Mr. Thibodeaux is survived by children, Carroll Owens and his wife, Pearl of Rayne, LA, John Thibodeaux and his wife, Tina of Scott, LA, Tammy Credeur and her husband, David of Picayune, MS; grandchildren, Keith Owens and his wife, Dawn of Mire, LA, Talley Daigle and her husband, Greg of Church Point, LA, Scotty Thibodeaux and his wife, Pam of Maurice, LA, Haley Romero and her husband, Lance of Duson, LA, Devin Credeur of Picayune, MS, Katelyn Forehand and her husband, Billy of Picayune, MS; great-grandchildren, Kalley , Trenton and Harley Daigle, Keegan Thibodeaux and Amelia Romero.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Alleman Thibodeaux; son, Robbie Thibodeaux; parents, Paul Alphie Thibodeaux and Mamie Pepper Thibodeaux; siblings, Joseph Lancon, Roy Thibodeaux, Ethel Mire, Yvonne Trahan, Ellis Thibodeaux and Lucille Cormier.
Pallbearers will be Scotty Thibodeaux, Devin Credeur, Trenton Daigle, Joyson Thibodeaux, John Thibodeaux and Carroll Owens.
