Rayne- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Steven Breaux, Sr., 88, at 1:30 PM on Monday, January 06, 2020 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Scott, LA with Rev. Vincent as Celebrant. Visitation will begin in the Duhon Funeral Home-Rayne Chapel on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM and will resume on Monday at 8:00 AM until just prior to the time of service. Interment will follow the church service and will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Scott, LA. Mr. Breaux passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020 at Lady of the Oaks Retirement Center in Lafayette, LA.
Mr. Breaux is survived by his children, Steven Breaux, Jr. of Sulphur, LA, Faye Varnadoe and her husband, Jerry of Breaux Bridge, LA, Debra Thibodeaux of Scott, LA, Patricia Guidroz and her husband, Robert of Breaux Bridge, LA; grandchildren, fifteen grandchildren and twenty four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Mae Thibodeaux Breaux; son, Michael Breaux; daughter, Rose Thibodeaux and his parents, Cesaire Breaux and Leonie Castille Breaux.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Thibodeaux, Chad Boss, Steven Breaux, III, Lance Morgan, Blake Morgan, Brett Guidroz and Matthew Morgan.
