Obituary for Murray Joseph Cary
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 1:00 Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point for Murray J. Cary, 76, who passed away on Monday, January 20, 2020 at 12:22 A.M. in Lafayette.
Fr. Ted Broussard, from St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in Lawtell will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church New Cemetery in Church Point.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited 6:30 in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Wednesday at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include five daughters, Angelique and husband, Ramon Carreon of Church Point, Tammy Venable of Lafayette, Jill Carreon of Church Point, Sandy and husband, Eric Thibodeaux of Church Point and Heidi Cary of Church Point; two sons, Ryan Cary and Georgette Wingate of Church Point and Clay and wife, Jackie of Church Point; two sisters, Virgie and husband, Eric Courville of Church Point, Nelma Daigle of Plaquemine; fifteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Mr. Cary was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara T. Cary; his parents, Richard and Edna D. Cary; four brothers, J. C., Wilbert, Gervais and J. U. Cary.
