A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Church Point for Mary Marjorie Citizen, 88, who passed away Sunday, February 2, 2020 at 6:25 P.M. at Acadia St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point.
Rev. Emmanuel Awe, SSJ, Pastor of Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church New Cemetery in Church Point.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at 8:00 A.M. until time of services all at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Church Point.
Survivors include four daughters, Geraldine and husband, Earl Gibson of Branch, Carrie Jean and husband, Rogers Moore of Crowley, Norma Jean Thomas of Lafayette, Jean Citizen of Church Point; two sons, Michael and wife, Marsha Citizen of Church Point, Joseph Hilton Citizen of Church Point; two sisters, Patricia and husband, Nalve Citizen of Church Point, Anna Bell Garrick of Lake Charles;
Ms. Citizen was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Citizen, Sr.; two sons, Joseph Felton Citizen and Albert Citizen, Jr.; her parents, Nace and Anna C. Charlot; two grandchildren, Lynelle Lewis and Ronald Lewis, Jr.; two sisters, Elrose Guidry and Mary Simien; five brothers, Elvin, Mervin, Joe, Ernest and Adam Charlot; special friend, Ozia Papillion of Church Point; thirty one grandchildren; seventy four great-grandchildren; sixteen great-greatgrandchildren.
