Obituary for Jessie Ray Schexneider
Crowley- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Jessie R. Schexneider, 73, at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at St. Aloysius Catholic Chapel in Midland, LA with Rev. Neil Petit as Celebrant. Visitation will begin on Friday, February 14, 2020 in the Duhon Funeral Home-Crowley Chapel at 3:00 PM until 10:00 PM, with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 4:00 PM and will resume on Saturday at 8:00 AM until just prior to the service time. Interment will follow the mass and will be in Estherwood Cemetery in Estherwood, LA. Mr. Schexneider passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2020.
Mr. Schexneider is survived by his daughters, Anjelle Martin and her husband, Jimmy Mounier of Crowley, LA, Michelle Burney and her husband, Perry of Lafayette, LA , Shannon Schexneider of Mamou, LA , Tessie Cooper and her fiancee’, Bobby Cramer of Lake Charles, LA; companion, Margaret Louviere of New Iberia, LA; grandchildren, Korie Brunet and her husband, Phil of Lafayette, LA , Brandi Fontenot of Denham Springs, LA, Joshua Mounier and Jamie of Crowley, LA, Nicholas Burney of Lafayette, LA , Alex Mounier of Crowley, LA and Courtney Schahn of Morgan City, LA; sisters, Darcas Monic and her husband, Lovelace, Doris Susan Schexneider Babb and ten great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Schexneider and Rita Mae Borill Schexneider; one great granddaughter, Everly Anjelle Mounier, as well as numerous brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be Perry Burney, Jimmy Mounier, Bobby Cramer, Phil Brunet, Nicholas Burney and Alex Mounier.
The family would like to thank Dr. Chad Vincent for his personal care and compassion shown toward Mr. Schexneider and his family.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to Hospice of Acadiana or Estherwood, Cemetery.
