Rayne- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Robert P. Simoneaux, 66, at 10:00 A M on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at St Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne, LA with Rev. Kevin Bordelon as Celebrant. Visitation will begin in the Duhon Funeral Home-Rayne Chapel on Monday, February 17, 2020 at 12:30 PM, with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 P M, until 8:00 PM and will resume on Tuesday at 8:00 A M until just prior to the service time. Interment will follow the mass and will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery New in Rayne, LA. Mr. Simoneaux passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at his home in Rayne, LA.
Robert was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed fishing and going to the casino and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty four years, Carolyn Simoneaux of Rayne, LA; father, Wilbert Simoneaux of Rayne, LA; children, Lauri Simoneaux of Houston, TX, Celeste Simoneaux of Rayne, LA; grandchildren, Zachary Simoneaux of Houston, TX, Peighton Simoneaux, Hayes Prudhomme, Paxton Prudhomme and Corinne Hawley of Rayne, LA; sisters, Vicki Istre and her husband, Carl of Rayne, LA , Bridget Leon and her husband, Rob of Rayne, LA
He was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Lou Gremillion.
Pallbearers will be Carl Istre, Pat Leleux, Judd Hawley, Kyle Leleux and Chad Leleux.
