Obituary for Elda Marie Richard (Babineaux)
Crowley- A Liturgy of the Word Service will be celebrated for Elda M. Richard, 94, at 11:00 AM on Thursday March 5, 2020 in the Duhon Funeral Home-Crowley Chapel with Deacon Denis LaCroix officiating. Visitation in the Duhon Funeral Home-Crowley Chapel will begin on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM and will resume on Thursday at 8:00 AM until just prior to the time of service. Interment will follow the chapel service and will be in St. Edward Catholic Cemetery in Richard, LA. Mrs. Richard passed away at Camelot Place in Rayne, LA on Monday, March 2, 2020.
Mrs. Richard is survived by her children, Clara Bourque and her husband, Danny of Lake Charles, LA, Henry Richard of Deer Park, TX, Kathy Breaux and her husband, Tommy of Cove, TX, Sandra Duhon and her husband, Carroll of Crowley, LA; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren; sisters, Ella Hale of San Antonio, TX, Amy Sonnier of Welsh, LA and one brother, Sidney Babineaux, Jr. and his wife, Shirley of Basile, LA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Richard; son, Charles Richard; parents, Sidney and Annie Babineaux; two sisters and one brother.
Pallbearers will be Carroll Duhon, Danny Bourque, Tommy Breaux, Macy Bourque, Henry Richard, Jr. and Luke Duhon.
