Private Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2020 for Horace “Shoon” Mouton, 75, who passed away on Friday, March 27, 2020 at 2:39 A.M. at Lafayette General Hospital in Lafayette.
Survivors include six daughters, Eula and husband, Paul Wilturner of Rayne, Rosa and husband, Dilnesahu Sahle of Lafayette, Sandra and husband, Damian Evans of Rayne, Ruby Mouton of Rayne, Ravin Jolivette of Duson and Mavin and husband, Keith East of Rayne; two sons, Carroll and Frederick Mouton both of Rayne; two brothers, Clifton Mouton of New Iberia, Harold and wife Rose Mouton of Rayne; four sisters, Laura Mae Rochon of Rayne, Anna Pearl and husband, Horace Felix of Duson, Judy Martin of Crowley, Judy Andrew of Scott; nineteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Cleveland Guillory of Rayne; special friends, Melvin Dupont, Joe Wheeler, and August Rochon all of Rayne.
Mr. Mouton was preceded in death by one grandson, Erik Mouton; one granddaughter, Ma’kia Francis; his parents, Forest Mouton, Sr. and Matilda B. Mouton; one brother, Forest Mouton, Jr.; four sisters, Carroll Patton, Marjorie Savoy, Eva Mae Foreman and Mary Mouton Guillory; a special friend Isaac Senegal.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Carolyn Guillory, DCI, Lafayette General Hospital, Our Lady of Lourdes and Professional Home Health for all the care that was given to Mr. Mouton.
