Obituary for Belinda Spell Bertrand
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel for Belinda Spell Bertrand, 65, who died at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, June 21, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Belinda was born February 12, 1955 in Crowley to the late Dewey and Ouida Spell. She worked many years as a teacher’s aide for the Special Needs Department at Crowley Kindergarten.
Rev. Gerard Morgan of Northside Assembly of God will celebrate the service and the burial will follow in the Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
She is survived by her son, Trevor Q. Bertrand and his wife Jessica of Crowley; one brother, Ronald Spell and his wife Deanna of Lyons point, LA; sister-in-law Debra Spell of Roberts Cove; 7 nieces and nephews, Alisha Fontenot, Michael B. Spell, Kristen Fontenot, Brandy Spell, Kelly Spell, Ronnie Spell and Michael B. Hamilton and many loving great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Dewey and Ouida Spell and her brother Roger “Rocky” Spell.
