Obituary for Betty Jane Abshire
A memorial service will be held at a later date for Betty Jane Abshire, 70, who passed away at 4:50 A.M. Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Camelot Rehab at Magnolia Ridge.
Mrs. Abshire was born Sept. 22, 1949 in Lafayette, LA to the late Wilbert Joseph and Annie Meaux Abshire. She retired from the American Legion Hospital after 30 plus years of service.
She is survived by her daughter Danielle Abshire of Lafayette; her son Quinton Abshire and his wife Wanda of Crowley; 5 grandchildren Eboni Smith, Hannah Lanier, Alana Abshire, Kaylee Smith and Hunter Abshire and 2 great-grandchildren Kadience Basley and Ian Lanier; 3 sisters Linda Vondenstein, Sue Bourque and Mary Hubbard; 3 brothers, Richard, Warren and Thomas Abshire.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Emily Suire.
