Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 3, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. Starlight Baptist Church in Rayne for Osagiemwangbon “Osagie” Omoruyi, 41, who passed away at Acadia General Hospital in Crowley on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at 3:04 A.M.
Pastor Nathan T. Stevens, Pastor of Starlight Baptist Church will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in the Community Gardens in Rayne.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Monday, August 3, 2020 at 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne.
Survivors include his fiancée, Kayla Poullard and her daughter, Kylan Poullard of Crowley; two sons, Deshaun Blanchard of Lake Charles, Malik Dauterive of Lafayette; one daughter, Naima Omoruyi of Lafayette; his mother, Magnolia Hollier of Rayne; his father, Ohanmuwu Augustine “Austin” and wife, Omo Omoruyi of Atlanta, GA; one brother, Lester and wife, Natashia Washington of Rayne; one step brother, Joshua Omoruyi of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Amenze and Esohe Omoruyi both of Atlanta, GA; several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Osagie was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Chief J. E Omoruyi and Anna Omoruyi; his maternal grandparents, Lester J. Washington and Martha H. Washington.
