Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 10, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne for Heather E. Degeyter, 23, who passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020 at 3:45 A.M. at her home in Mire.
Deacon Dennis LaCroix, from St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in Arceneaux Cemetery in Rayne.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday at 6 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Monday at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include her mother, Rebecca Comeaux of Mire; one brother, Brandon Degeyter of Mire; four hairy friends; caregiver, Teresa Wingate of Cankton; several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
Heather enjoyed fishing, wearing makeup, playing with Lucy, her baby doll, and following her mom around. She got a lot of joy of giving her brother ten kinds of hell.
