Obituary for Nolan Matte
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Saint John’s Catholic Church in Lewisburg, LA for Nolan Matte, 65, of Rayne, LA who died at 3:37 a.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2020 in Jefferson, LA.
Deacon Byrne Winn will officiate the funeral services and he will lead the rosary at 6:30 Wednesday evening. Visitation may be observed from 1:00 p.m. Wednesday until 10:00 p.m. and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years Frances Schexnayder Matte of Rayne, LA; 3 daughters, Angela Leger and her husband Mark of Prairie Ronde, LA, Sarah Lanclos of Lawtell, LA and Savannah Hebert and her husband Dave of Rayne, LA; 5 sisters, Geneva Bearb of Lafayette, Pat Royer of Georgia, Maddy Boone of Scott, LA, Elaine Bernard of Opelousas and Odelia Leger of Church Point; a brother Jay Matte of Opelousas and 6 grandchildren Brianna Leger, Celeste Bearb, Rodney Bearb, Trey Bearb, Landon Lanclos and Kelsi Lanclos.
He was preceded in death by his parents Armogene and Bridgette Bourque Matte; a grandson Tylan Miller and a brother Dale Matte.
