Obituary for Raul Brito Carreno

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 28, 2020, at 1:30 P.M. at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point for Raul Brito Carreno, 61, who passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 11:02 A.M. at AMG Specialty Hospital Park Place Campus in Lafayette.
Padre David Rozas from Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic in Church Point will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church New Cemetery in Church Point.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited at 6 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. Visitation will resume on Monday at 8:00 A.M. until time of Services.
Survivors include his wife of thirty five years, Irene Carreno of Sunset; five sons, Cesar Carreno Flores and wife, Nely of Mexico, Heriberto Carreno and wife, Lauren of Duson, Huriel Salgado Carreno and companion Ashlkey of Sunset, Raul Carreno, Jr. of Sunset and Christian Carreno and wife, Taylor of Breaux Bridge; two daughters, Maricela Montoya Carreno and husband, Fernando of Sunset, and Cendy Irene Carreno and husband, Allen of Richard; his step father, Miguel Ochoa Guadarrama of Mexico; two brothers and five sisters; sixteen grandchildren, Lesli Fatima Carreno Valladares, Cesar Armando Carreno Valladares, Noe Emiliano Carreno Gonzalez, Jan Tadeo Carreno Gonzalez, Pedro Jose Montoya, Abigail Montoya, Daniel Montoya, Benjamin Montoya, Martin Ismael Rangel, Sophia Marie Rangel, Olivia Lee Lawrence, Elijah William Lawrence, Angel Gabriel Ramirez, David Andrew Carreno, Lilah Isabelle Carreno and Everett James Carreno; twenty five nieces and nephews.
Mr. Carreno was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio Carreno Lopez and Silvia Brito Arce; one brother, Marcelino Ochoa Brito.
Pall bearers for the services will be sons, Heriberto Carreno, Huriel Salgado Carreno, Raul Carreno, Jr., and Christian Carreno, his son-in-laws, Fernando Montoya and Allen Lawrence.
