Obituary for Ruby Ann Thibodeaux (Dupuis)
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at 2:00 P. M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne, La for Ruby D. Thibodeaux, 79, who passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at 12:50 A.M. at her home in Rayne.
Fr. Brent Smith, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in Leger Cemetery in Rayne.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne. A Rosary will be recited on Monday at 6 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Tuesday at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include one son, Walton “Joey” Thibodeaux, Jr. and wife, Connie of Rayne; two daughters, Debra and Don Carrier of Rayne, Roxanne Arceneaux of Rayne; one brother, Wallace and wife, Lula Mae Dupuis of Rayne; eleven grandchildren, forty eight great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Ms. Thibodeaux was preceded in death by her husband, Walton “Waldo” Thibodeaux, Sr.; her parents, John Clyde and Ella C. Dupuis; two sisters, Gladys Castile and Eunice Breaux; one brother, Clarence Dupuis.
Ms. Ruby enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and doing her yard work. She spent many hours working in her flower beds. She won garden of the month several times, the first time being March 22, 2018. She was a big bingo and pokeno fan.
Pallbearers for the service will be Tippy Touchette, Ryan Touchette, Don Carrier, II, Walton Thibodeaux, III, Matthew Touchette, and Ryan Paul Touchette. Honorary Pallbearer for the service will be Curtis Thiobdeaux.
