Obituary for Daniel Benoit
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley, LA for Daniel Benoit, 72, who died peacefully in his sleep Friday, November 6, 2020 at his residence in Houston, Texas.
Deacon Byrne Winn will celebrate the services and the burial will follow in the Hanks Cemetery in Morse, LA. Visitation may be observed on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until service time. The rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.
Daniel was born January 11, 1948 in Morse, LA to the late Dewey and Eustage Vincent Benoit. Daniel worked most of his life in the oilfield.
He is survived by his wife Mona Morgan Benoit of Houston, TX; a sister Barbara Girard and her husband Bobby of Canton, LA; 2 brothers, Jimmy Benoit, Sr. and his wife Joyce of Lake Arthur and Charles Benoit and his wife Peggy of Mermentau; 20 nieces and nephews; 33 great nieces and nephews and 23 great-great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Irving Benoit; 3 sisters, Betty Bourque Benoit, Ella Rean Benoit and Mary Jane Vincent.
Pallbearers will be Author Dean Benoit, Jimmy Benoit, Jr., Chad Deville, Kalem Deville, Brant Theunissen and Coy Deville. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Hebert, Terry Benoit, Michael Benoit and Bobby Girard.
