A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 12:00 P.M. at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point for John Dale McBride, 70, who passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 4:44 P.M. at Lafayette General Hospital in Lafayette.
Père Rozas, from Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church New Cemetery in Church Point.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Friday, November 27, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited at 7 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. Visitation will resume on Saturday at 8:00 A. M. until time of services.
Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Jackie F. McBride of Church Point; three daughters, Jessica and husband, Marcus Guidry of Richard, Charity and husband, Chad Vidrine of Scott, Jamie and husband, Quentin Fruge of Gonzales; three grand-daughters, Taylor Olivier of Rayne, Jade Fruge of Church Point and Carlee Vidrine of Scott; one brother, Charles Ray and wife, Eva McBride of Lafayette; three sisters, Sally Daigle of Church Point, Roma McBride of Church Point and Diane Richard of Carencro; loving niece and caregiver, Christie Theriot of Church Point; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. McBride was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Norwood and Mary Irene M. McBride; one sister, Margaret and husband, Glenn Thibodeaux; brother-in-laws, Carol Daigle and Howard Richard.
