Logan James LaPointe

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 4, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. at St. Edward Catholic Church in
Richard for Logan J. LaPointe, 79, who passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at 11:00 P.M. at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans.
Fr. Wayne Duet, Pastor of St. Edward Catholic Church in Richard will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in the St. Edward Catholic Church Cemetery in Richard.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday at 6 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Monday at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include his wife, Jeri L. LaPointe of Branch; two sons, Neil and wife, Menette LaPointe of Kingsland, GA, Logan J. LaPointe, Jr. of Branch; two daughters, Kimmy and husband, Trudy Abshire of Meaux, Terrie and husband, Daniel Domingue of Kaplan; three sisters, Jane Foegelle of San Antonio TX, Naida Rector, of Kaplan, Toni Wenberg of Hawaii; seven grandchildren, Jared and wife, Melanie Prejean of Meaux, Mitchell Prejean of Meaux, Megan and husband, Trey Harrington of Meaux, Trudi Abshire of Meaux, Tyler and wife,Casey Domingue of Kaplan, Ryan LaPointe and fiancé Remanda Fenner of Kingsland, GA, and Meah LaPointe of Kingsland, GA.; eight great-grandchildren.
Mr. LaPointe was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Mary Richard LaPointe; four sisters, Joyce Bares, Thelma Schexnider, Betty Cavalier, and Florence Breaux.
