A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church for Frances Schexnayder Matte, 65, who died Wednesday, December 30, 2020 in Lafayette, LA.
Fr. Brent Smith will celebrate the Mass. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until service time. The Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. and the burial will be in St. John Cemetery in Lewisburg.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Savannah Hebert and her husband Dave of Rayne, LA; 2 step-daughters, Angie Leger and her husband Mark of Prairie Ronde and Sarah Lanclos of Lawtell; 1 sister, Sadie Hebert of Church Point; 6 grandchildren, Brianna Leger, Celeste Bearb, Rodney Bearb, Trey Bearb, Landon Lanclos and Kelsi Lanclos.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Ludy Soileau Schexnayder; her husband, Nolan Matte, 2 brothers, Rodney Schexnayder and Carol Schexnayder and 1 grandson Tylan Miller.
