Obituary for Nora Lee Collins (Smith)
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 1:30 P.M. at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point for Nora L. Collins, 76, who passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 3:12 A.M. at Acadia St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point.
Père Rozas from Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church New Cemetery in Church Point.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday at 6 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Friday at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include, three daughters, Annette and Curley Guidry of Church Point, Cathy and husband, Carl Royer of Vider, TX, Tammy and husband, Kevin Dockery of Vider, TX; one son, Charlie and wife, Adriana Briscoe of Vider, TX; one brother, Allen Ray Smith of Orange, TX; nine grandchildren, Mandi, Tresia, Chelsea, Amy, Tabatha, Cody, Marah, Haley, and Lilly; fourteen great-grandchildren.
Ms. Collins was preceded in death by first husband and father of her children, Charles Briscoe; her second husband, Billy Collins; her parents, Wilfred and Essie T. Smith; one sister, Geneva Reed.
