Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January, 9, 2021 at Saint Edmond Catholic Church in Branch, LA for Calvin Joseph Hollier, 76, who died at 1:40 a.m. Thursday, January, 7, 2021 at his residence in Rayne, LA.
Deacon Byrne Winn will officiate the Funeral service and the burial will follow in the Church cemetery. Visitation may be observed Friday, January 8, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until service time. The Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Broussard Hollier of Rayne, LA; 1 daughter, Sandra Marie Hollier Hanks and her husband Ronald of Rayne, LA; 1 son, Wayne Joseph Hollier and his wife Angella Delahoussaye of Lafayette, LA; 8 grandchildren, Chase Hanks and his wife April, Jordan Hollier and his significant other Alexis Seaux, Kylie Meche and her significant other Darrell Duhon, Jamie Breaux and her husband Kevin, Brandon Hollier and his wife Tasha, Joshua Meche, Brad Hanks and Allison Hollier; 14 great grandchildren, Gabrielle Hanks, Trent Hanks, Laken Hollier, Kamyle Hollier, Nevaeh Matthews, Brayden Matthews, Tristan Matthews, Malakye Meche, Zachariah Duhon, Averi Breaux, Liam and Conley Breaux, Ryleigh Meche and Ivan Meche.
He was preceded in death by His parents, Elie and Emaline Jagneaux Hollier; 1 daughter, Melissa Ann Hollier; a great grandchild, Kyle Matthews; 1 sister, Theresa H. Stelly and 2 brothers, Caffery Hollier and Linez Hollier.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chase Hanks, Jordan Hollier, Brayden and Tristan Matthews; Pallbearers, Brandon Hollier, Joshua Meche, Brad Hanks and Kylie Meche.
