Obituary for Carolyn Marie Shiver (Sagona)
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021, 2:00 P.M. Duhon Funeral Home in Church Point for Carolyn S. Shiver, 63, who passed away on Thursday, January, 7, 2021 at 3:17 P.M. at Opelousas General Hospital in Opelousas.
Bishop Thad Schlosser, from Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Opelousas will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in Arceneaux Cemetery in Rayne.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. until time of services all in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point.
Survivors include one son, James and wife, Virginia Shiver of Ville Platte; husband, James Shiver, Sr. of Ville Platte; eight grandchildren, Sydney, Brianna, Ava, Kali, Anna, Nicolas, Stephanie and Colby; one brother, Jimmy and wife, Lisa Sagona of Baton Rouge; nieces and nephews, Danielle, John Ross, Tony, and Brennan.
Mrs. Shiver was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Thelma M. Sagona; one sister, Tina Johnson.
