Obituary for Thelma "Aunt Chim" Quebodeaux
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Theresa Catholic Church Cemetery in Duson for Thelma Quebodeaux, 89, who passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Treemont Nursing Home in Houston, TX at 11:30 A.M.
Deacon Winn will be officiating for the services.
The family has requested visitation to be held on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 12:30 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne, LA.
Survivors include one brother, Frank Anthony Quebodeaux of Duson; one sister, Laura Bell Quebodeaux of Pasadena, TX; numerous nieces and nephews.
Ms. Quebodeaux was preceded in death by her parents, Andre and Angele Duhon Quebodeaux; four brothers and four sisters.
She moved to California from LA in the early 1960’s, working there until the late 1970’s when she moved back to Texas. Thelma, lovingly known as Aunt Chim, worked most of her life in accounting including the later 15+ years at Fluor Corporation in Houston until she retired at age 62. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Houston and an active member of the St. Michael’s Rosary Guild. Favorite things included going to the YMCA, watching the Houston Rockets, and dining at her favorite restaurants with friends.
