Obituary for Mary Louise Demouchette

A friend of many and beloved by all, Mary Louise Monroe Demuchette, passed on Friday, April 2, 2021, at Southwind Nursing and Rehab Center of Crowley, at the age of 80. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 2pm on zoom.
Mary was born on June 29, 1940, in Branch, Louisiana to the late Gus and Navana Monroe She was known as "Tooka" among family and delicious home cooked meals and homemade cakes and pies from scratch.
Mary was a faithful member of the Crowley Christian Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses, known for her unshakable and uncompromising faith and beliefs.
Mrs. Mary leaves to cherish her memories: husband Eulise Demuchest, one daughter: Mary Deana Demouchette, Stepchildren: Ulysses Demuchest Jr., Paulette Demuchest, Gwendolyn Thibodeaux, Darlene Hawthorne (Gary), Denise Joseph, Orita DeJean (Bryan), Leslie Demuchest (Patricia), Lisa Demuchest (George), brothers: Gus Monroe Sr., Leo Monroe Sr. (Mildred), Alvin H. Monroe Sr. (Dollie). 26 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. And a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents: Gus Monroe Sr. and Navana Bias Monroe, sisters: Elmira Champange (Joseph), Hattie Simien (Wallace), sister-in-law: Olivia Monroe. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Southwind Nursing Home and Rehab Center and Traditions Health.
