Obituary for Georgia Thibodeaux (Burleigh)
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021, at 1:00 P.M. at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point for Georgia B. Thibodeaux, 78, who passed away at her home in Lafayette surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 7:39 A.M.
Père Rozas, Parochial Vicar of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Point will be officiating for the servicing. Burial will be held in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church New Cemetery in Church Point.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday at 6 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. Visitation will resume on Friday at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include her husband of sixty three years, Louis Warren Thibodeaux of Lafayette; two sons, Mitchell Thibodeaux of Lafayette and John Thibodeaux of Lewisburg; one daughter, Connie and husband, Dwayne Cormier of Parks; one daughter-in-law, Mona E. Thibodeaux of Opelousas; two sisters and one brother; six grandchildren, Brandi and husband, Elliott Kuhn, Joshua Cormier, Justin and wife, Jennifer Cormier, Alex and wife, Natalie Thibodeaux, Skylar Thibodeaux, and Arianna Thibodeaux; three great-grandchildren, Braylon Cormier, Hadlie Cormier and Evangeline Kuhn.
Mrs. Thibodeaux was preceded in death by one son, Keith James Thibodeaux; her parents, Ludvic and Ann L. Burleigh.
