Obituary for Melody Lebouef "Mama Mel" Kershaw
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2021 at the Duhon Funeral Home of Crowley, LA for Melody Lebouef Kershaw, 40, who died at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family after losing her battle with breast cancer.
Rev. Berl Adams, Pastor of First Baptist Church of church Point, LA will officiate the funeral services and she will be buried at Johnson Hanks Cemetery in Morse, LA. Visitation may be observed on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
Melody was born February 7, 1981 to late Offord and Martha Bonin Lebouef. She was a loving mother, sister and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her children and her family.
She is survived by her husband Kasey J. Kershaw of Jennings, LA; 3 daughters Lily Hernandez, Layla Hernandez and Ava Hernandez all of Crowley, LA; 3 sons Abel Hernandez, Korbin Kershaw and John Ross Kershaw all of Crowley, LA; sister Danielle Savoy of Crowley, LA and brother Offord “Junior” Lebouef, Jr. and his wife Candie of Crowley, LA.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Acadiana and especially Candie Lebouef for their loving care.
The family request in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation or The American Cancer Society.
