Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel of Crowley, LA for Ella Mae Johnson, 59, who died at 6:50 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2021 at her residence in Basile, LA.
Rev. Gerard Morgan, associate pastor of Northside Assembly of God will conduct the funeral service and the burial will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington, LA. Visitation may be observed on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
She is survived by her Husband Shane Nezat of Basile; 1 daughter Barbie Johnson and fiancé Lisa Breaux of Breaux bridge; 1 son Jamie Johnson and his fiancé Danielle Broussard of Crowley; 3 sisters Lilly Mae Johnson, Mary Hebert and Tammy Broussard and her husband Peter all of Crowley; 3 brothers Richard Johnson, Sr of Crowley, Rodney Johnson, Sr of Mermentau and Michael James Johnson, Sr of Crowley; 20 grandchildren Gabby, Tessa, Ella, Sammy, Jami and Ethan Johnson, Jacob, Paige, Brooklyn, Haden, Beaux, Lillian, Merisa, Damon, Alexa, Isabella, Daniel, McKenna, Oakley and Hunter; 1 great grandson Bryson Johnson and 5 stepchildren James and Tosha Nezat, Mitchell and Olivia Nezat, Jose and Kayla Lopez, Gregory and Riley Nezat.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ivy and Mary Hanks Johnson; 2 brothers Avie Johnson and Wilfred Johnson, Sr and 2 sisters Alta Porrier and Mary Elaine Miller.
