Obituary for Bertha Alleman Denais
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel of Rayne, LA for Bertha Alleman Denais, 80, who died at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at her residence in Carencro.
Pastor Chris Frey will conduct the funeral services. Visitation may be observed on Wednesday May 26, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until service time. The Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday. The burial will follow in the St. Peter and Paul Mausoleum in Scott, LA.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Redley James Denais of Carencro; 4 daughters, Juanita Menard and husband, John D. of Carencro, Melissa Matte and husband, James of Richard, Tina Chiasson and husband, Terry of Lafayette and Nicole Dearman and husband, Daniel of Carencro; 4 sons, William James Denais of Richard, Blake John Denais of Richard, Steven Paul Denais of Opelousas and Nicholas Denais and his fiancé Kassie of Richard; 1 sister, Birdie Touchet of Carencro; 1 brother Jessie Alleman of Church Point; 15 grandchildren, Alexson Denais, Carrie Hoffpauir, Jason Menard, Regan Denais, Clint Matte, Logan Matte, Karson Matte, Tanya Leblanc, Tamra Bourque, Tasha Binder, Tyler Chiasson, Cameron Dearman, Amber Dearman, Hunner Denais and Rhilyn Denais and 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bernard and Mable Guidry Alleman; 1 son John Anthony “Tony” Denais; 2 sisters Eldean Brasseaux and Barbara Jane Girard and 1 brother M.B. Charles Alleman.
Pallbearers will be, Alexson Denais, Jason Menard, Clint Matte, Logan Matte, Karson Matte, Tyler Chiasson, Cameron Dearman, Hunner Denais and Coy Denais.
