Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 17, 2021 at the Duhon Funeral Home of Crowley for Herbert Lee Guillory, 83, who died at 4:28 p.m. Monday, June 14, 2021 in Lafayette, LA.
Rev. Jimmy Broussard will conduct the Funeral Service and the burial will follow in the Istre Cemetery in Morse, LA. Visitation may be observed on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until service time. The rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday.
Mr. Herbert was born November 11, 1937 in Estherwood to the late Willis and Lovenia Romero Guillory. He worked as a superintendent at Dore Rice Mill for most of his life.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Rachel Vincent (Carl) and Connie Fruge (Mickey) all of Morse; 2 sons, Terry Guillory (Gaynell) of Evangeline and Brent Guillory (Tessie) of Crowley; 1 brother James Guillory of Sulphur; 9 grandchildren, Corey Vincent (Kim), Candace Vincent, Terrell Guillory (Felicia), Terrence Guillory (Kristy), Nanna Guillory, Chelse Breaux (Bobby), Skylar Fruge, Andy Guillory (Emily) and Carley Guillory and 13 great grandchildren, Camryn Vincent, Zachary Vincent, Owen Vincent, Kollin Vincent, McKenzie Vincent, Christopher Guillory, Jeffery Guillory, Ohana Guillory, Chanler Breaux, Adaleigh Breaux, Cooper Breaux, Charli Guillory and Cori Guillory.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Betty Simon Guillory, 2 brothers, Winford and Willis Guillory, Jr.; 1 sister Lena Simon and 1 great grandson Alec Vincent.
