A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021, at 1:00 P.M. at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point for Louis Warren Thibodeaux, 80, who passed away at his home in Lafayette surrounded by family on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 4:25 A.M.
Père Rozas, Parochial Vicar of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church will be officiating for the service. Burial will be held in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church New Cemetery in Church Point.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited at 6 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. Visitation will resume on Friday at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors two sons, Mitchell Thibodeaux of Lafayette and John Thibodeaux of Lewisburg; one daughter, Connie and husband, Dwayne Cormier of Parks; one daughter-in-law, Mona E. Thibodeaux of Opelousas; six grandchildren, Brandi and husband, Elliott Kuhn, Joshua Cormier, Justin and wife, Jennifer Cormier, Alex and wife, Natalie Thibodeaux, Skylar Thibodeaux, and Arianna Thibodeaux; three great-grandchildren, Braylon Cormier, Hadlie Cormier and Evangeline Kuhn.
Mr. Thibodeaux served our Country in the United States Army for nine years in Special Forces Unit. He also served in the National Guard for eight years.
Mr. Thibodeaux was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia B. Thibodeaux; one son, Keith James Thibodeaux; his parents, Louis and Hazel F. Thibodeaux; one brother, John Rufus Thibodeaux;
