Obituary for Hazel Hanks Schexnider
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 19, 2021 at the The Roberts cove Church of Christ for Hazel Hanks Schexnider, 91, who died at 10:44 p.m. Thursday, July 15, at her residence in Roberts Cove.
Rev. Derick Richard will officiate the funeral services and the burial will follow in the Kye Hebert Cemetery. Visitation may be observed at the Church of Christ on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Monday from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
Mrs. Hazel was born July 11, 1930 in Crowley, LA to the late Eddie and Adelia Alleman Hanks.
She is survived by her 3 daughters, Bert Schexnider of Roberts Cove, Rosella Leblanc and her husband Patrick of Kaplan and Carolyn Wilson and her husband Dean of Roberts Cove; 1 son, Fred Schexnider and his wife Cynthia of Crowley; 1 sister, Margaret James of Crowley; 1 brother, Autrey Hanks of Roberts Cove; 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 7 great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, Donald Schexnider; Husband, Albert Schexnider; 1 sister, Beulah Romero and five brothers, Clifton, Horace, Johnny, Ramsey and Freddie Hanks.
