Obituary for Gregory Paul Bertrand Sr.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel of Crowley, LA for Gregory Paul Bertrand, Sr. who died at 12:48 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2022 in Lafayette.
Deacon Byrne Wynn will celebrate the funeral services and the burial will follow in the Abshire Cemetery. Visitation may be observed on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
Mr. Bertrand was born August 25, 1960 in Crowley, LA to Angellas Trahan and Betty Bertrand Meche.
He is survived by 4 sons, Bryan Paul Bertrand and his fiancé Joni Henry of Estherwood, Brandon Paul Bertrand and companion, Donna Duhon of Estherwood, Travis Paul Bertrand and his companion Paige Myers of Crowley and Gregory Paul Bertrand, Jr. and his companion, Paige Romero of Crowley; 4 sisters, Brenda Romero of Crowley, Darlene Welch of Crowley, Cynthia Trahan of Crowley and Sharlet Reeves of Leblanc; 6 brothers, Donald Meche of Mississippi, Charles Trahan of Crowley, Randall Trahan of Crowley, Timothy Trahan of Crowley, David Trahan of Crowley and Scotty Trahan of Crowley and 11 grandchildren, Alana, Alyssa, Braylon, Olivia, Leah, Averee, Brilee, Audrey, Tatum, Emmitt and Ronnie.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Linda Abshire.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Bertrand, Travis Bertrand, Gregory Bertrand, Jr., Chad Hebert, Darrel Garrie and Chris Guidry. Honorary Pallbearers will be Braylon Bertrand, Tatum Bertrand and Emmitt Bertrand.
