Obituary for Dorothy Menard Sarver
Dorothy Ann Menard Sarver, 77, of Crowley, LA passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022 in Crowley. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at the HOPE Church in Evangeline, LA. 2:00 p.m. All visitation will be held at the HOPE Church on Tuesday May 10, 2022 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday May 11, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
Mrs. Sarver was born on February 14, 1945, seventh of nine children to Francis Clyde and Solonge Simon Menard. On February 2, 1963, she married James David Sarver.
She is survived by her children, Ronald Menard (Cathy), Jacqueline S. Thibodeaux (Steven), and Jonathan Dale Sarver (Michelle); her grandchildren, Kollin Menard (Maddison), Spencer Sarver (Brittany), Julian Sarver, Kaitlyn Sarver and her honorary granddaughter, Kandi Monceaux; her great grandchildren, Hunner Menard, Braxton Menard, Rhett Menard, Her honorary great granddaughter, Kyleigh Mullen & honorary great grandson, Kyle Mullen.
Preceding her in death is her husband, James David Sarver, her son, James Daniel Sarver, her granddaughter, Nylah Danielle Sonnier, two angel grandchildren, a son-in-law, Ricky Sonnier and eight brothers and sisters.
Prior to a stroke in 2016, Mrs. Sarver was a homemaker and made sure her family was taken care of. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, shopping and spending time with her family.
As a member of HOPE Church in Evangeline, her faith and relationship with God was evident in her daily life. She lived her life preparing for the day she would be called to her heavenly home.
Carrying her to her final resting place will be her sons, Ronald Menard and Dale Sarver, her daughter, Jacqueline Thibodeaux, and her grandsons, Kollin Menard, Spencer Sarver and Julian Sonnier. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Thibodeaux and Kyle Mullen.
