Obituary for Andrew Jeanise Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2022 at the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel of Crowley for Andrew Jeanise, Jr., 89, who died at 1:53 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2022 in Baton Rouge, LA.
Rev. Jimmy Broussard will celebrate the funeral service and burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation may be observed on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. until service time. Deacon Byrne Winn will lead the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Thursday evening.
Mr. Jeanise was born April 22, 1933 in Roanoke, LA. He was a veteran of the United States Army and proudly served his country in the Korean War and earned 3 purple hearts and was honorably discharged on July 29, 1953. He worked most of his life in the oilfield as a tool pusher. He loved spending time with his family and friends and especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed working in his garden and sharing his produce.
He is survived by his 2 daughters, Michele LeBlanc and her husband Garret of Crowley and Linda McDonald of Sulphur; stepson, Randy Thibodeaux and his wife Lianie of False River; 26 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Andrew Jeanise, Sr. and Ethel Manuel Jenise; wife, Dorothy Richard Jeanise; 3 sisters, Eula Mae Bertrand, Lorina Semar and Lena Hargrave; 2 daughters, Brenda Jeanise Thibodeaux and Tina Marie Theriot and a son, Andy Jeanise, III.
