Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 3:30 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne for Norris J. "Beaver" Leger, 72, who passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 12:45 A.M. in Rayne.
Pastor Berl Adams, Pastor of The First Baptist Church in Church Point will be officiating. Burial will be held in The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church Cemetery in Mire.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 9:30 A.M. until time of services in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne.
Survivors include three sons, Ty Leger and fiancé Morgan Matte of Church Point, Chad and wife, Amber Leger of Rayne, Brent Leger of Rayne; three daughters, Paulette and husband, Ice Primeaux of Rayne, Paula and husband, Sammy Hollier of Crowley, Pam and husband, Jeffery Venissat of Gueydan; two step daughters, Nicole and husband, Neil Simon of Rayne, Mandy Melancon and fiancé Alex Stewart of Crowley; three sisters, Brenda McGuirk of Crowley, Linda Thibodeaux of Rayne and Barbara Meaux of Rayne; thirteen grandchildren, Rhett, Braxton, Branson, Baylon, Briggs, Madison, Tyler, Kelsey, Stormy, Taylor, Kailey, Tiffany and Tanner; seventeen great-grandchildren; four step grandchildren.
Mr. Leger was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela M. Leger; one grandson; Chance Leger; one step grandson, Ryder Stewart; his parents, Percy and Hazel R. Leger; two brothers, Harold and Carroll Leger.
