Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022, at 2:00 pm in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point for Betty Jane Dies, 64, who passed away at Opelousas General Hospital on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 2:30 pm in Opelousas.
Pastor Josh Carriere, from Greater Love Church in Church Point will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in the St. Edwards Catholic Church Cemetery in Richard.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 at 10:00 am until time of services all in the Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point.
Survivors include her ex- husband, Gerald Dies of Church Point; her Godchild, Chad Sonnier of Church Point; three sisters, Annabelle Brasseaux of Richard, Joyce Carriere of Church Point, and Patsy Sonnier of Church Point; one brother, Peter Boudreaux of Church Point; several nieces and nephews; her best friend, Ramona Guidry of Church Point.
Betty was preceded in death her parents, Egbert and Celestine L. Boudreaux; two sisters, Ethel Doucet, and Emma Boudreaux; three brothers, Hilbert, Joseph, and Maurice Boudreaux.
Pallbearers for the service will be Chad Sonnier, Wayne Boudreaux, James Boudreaux, and John Chester Boudreaux.
In Lieu of flowers, family has requested donations be made to a cancer center of your choice.
