Obituary for Larry Joseph Lavergne
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point for Larry J. Lavergne, 64, who passed away at his home in Church Point.
Fr. Brian Harrington, Pastor of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church New Cemetery in Church Point.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 9:00 A.M. until time of services all in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. in the Funeral Home Chapel.
Survivors include one daughter, Lacie and husband, Ryan Soileau of Maurice; one son, Cody Lavergne of Scott; his mother, Thelma Breaux of Church Point; one brother, Steve Lavergne of Church Point; four grandchildren, Gavin and Logan Lavergne, Rylie and Nathan Soileau.
Larry was a hard worker; he worked over 30 years in the Oilfield. He enjoyed spending time with his children, and grandchildren. He spent a lot of time watching several sporting events. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, and his ability to start a conversation with anyone.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Ervin Lavergne; his twin brother, Harry J. Lavergne, and brother, Mike Lavergne; the mother of his children, Bonnie T. Lavergne; his step father, Isaac Breaux.
