Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel of Crowley, LA for Joseph Donald Lejeune, 75, who died peacefully with his daughter by his side, at 12:51 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2022 in Crowley, LA.
Rev. Jimmy Broussard will celebrate the funeral services. Visitation may be observed on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will resume on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
Mr. Lejeune was born October 5, 1946 in Church Point to Leopaul and Lena Deshotel Lejeune. He worked most of his life traveling with Mitchell Brothers Carnival. He was a loving father and grandfather and loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and cooking.
He is survived by his daughter, Sarah Lege and her husband, Brandon of Morse; 1 sister, Betty Jene Canfil of Beaumont; 6 grandchildren; Collin Trahan and his wife, Amanda of Gueydan, Cameron Trahan of Iowa, Caylin Trahan of Crowley, Jordan Lege of Morse, Tristan Baronet and her husband Roman of Morse and Gabriel Lege of Ruston; 4 great grandchildren, Addi, Lucien and Liam Baronet and Joseph Trahan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers, John Wilson Lejeune, Alan Patrick Lejeune and Joseph Darrell Lejeune.
