Obituary for Lanny Lawrence Guidry
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 5, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Church Point for Lanny L. Guidry, 85, who passed away at St. Joseph Carpenter House in Lafayette on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 3:15 P.M.
Fr. Bartholomew Landry, C.S.P. will be officiating for the service. Burial will be in Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church New Cemetery in Church Point.
The family has requested visitation to be held on Monday, September 5, 2022 at 7:00 A.M. until time of services all at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Church Point.
Survivors include one daughter, Henrietta Francis of Church Point; three sons, Linus, Jo, and Lawrence Nero all of Church Point; seventeen grandchildren and twenty one great-grandchildren.
Mr. Guidry was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Nero; one son, Cedric Nero; one granddaughter, Chaisty Nero; two great-grandsons, Cameron and Camden; on daughter-in-law, Akura Nero; two sisters, Mary Garrick and Cora Ware.
