Obituary for Laura Cormier Labove
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 8, 2022 at the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel of Crowley for Laura Cormier LaBove, 88, who died at 9:50 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at her home in Crowley.
Deacon Byrne Winn will celebrate the funeral service and the burial will follow in the Woodlawn cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until service time. The Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday.
Mrs. LaBove was born October 17, 1933 in Estherwood, LA to Felician Cormier and Elodie Trumps. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her 2 daughters, Barbara Deshotel and her husband, Burley of Crowley and Loretta Trahan and her husband Robert of Egan; 1 son, James LaBove and wife, Stephanie of Crowley; 1 sister, Helen Thibodeaux of Florida; 3 brothers, Wallace Cormier and wife, Earline of Crowley, Willis Cormier of Egan and Roy Cormier and wife Mary of Ebenezer, 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 years, Belezaire LaBove; 1 son, Larry LaBove, 4 brothers, Leonard Cormier, Melvin Cormier, Calice Cormier and Clifton Cormier and 2 sisters, Ruby Richard and Lorraine Leger.
