Obituary for Sheryl Castille Guidry
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 19, 2022 at Our lady of The Sacred Heart Catholic church for Sheryl Castille Guidry, 66, who died at 7:29 a.m. Thursday, September 15, 2022 in Opelousas.
Deacon Byrne Winn will officiate the services and the burial will follow in the Our lady of Sacred Heart New Cemetery. Visitation may be observed on Sunday from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Monday from 8:00 a.m. until service time. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Sunday.
Mrs. Guidry was born October 19, 1955 in Church Point, LA to Clarence and Esther Carriere Castille. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her 2 sons, Jay Guidry and his companion Bobbie Wimberley of Church Point and Kevin Guidry and his wife, Dessie of Opelousas; 1 brother, Clarence Castille, jr. and his wife Lynette of Ville Platte; 6 grandchildren, Colby Guidry, Brandon Guidry, Madison Guidry, Faith Guidry, Jackson Wimberley and Allie Cormier and her husband Nicholas; 2 great grandchildren, Mason and Wesley Cormier; a sister-in-law, Tina Castille and 4 nieces and nephews, Kristy Castille, Kara Buller, Derrick Castille and Katherine Castille.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jay Guidry and a brother, Carl Castille.
