Obituary for Elnora Harmon Charles
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2022 at the Cunningham Methodist Church of Rayne, LA for Elnora Harmon Charles, 80, who died at her home in Rayne, Thursday, September 15, 2022.
Pastor Currie will celebrate the funeral services and the burial will follow in the Community gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Church on Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
Mrs. Charles was born August 12, 1942 in Branch, LA to Earnest and Harriet Bologne Harmon. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, playing bingo and trips to the casino. She always helped out babysitting or feeding anyone in need.
She is survived by her 2 daughters, Victoria Charles Burdine of Oklahoma City, OK. and Kathy Charles of Oklahoma City, OK; 2 sons, Alfred Charles and his wife Sherry of Oklahoma City, OK. and Phillip Charles and his wife, Charlotte Faye of Rayne; 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; 2 godchildren, Quincy Mouton and Trimmer Mouton and 3 special friends, Felicia Kelly, Ms. Lock and Jeanette Charles.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 son, Willie Charles; 4 brothers, Wilton Harmon, Harold Harmon, Lester` Harmon and Percy Harmon and a sister, Sadie Bell Harmon.
