A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 3:00 P.M. at St. Edward Catholic Church in Richard for Mark "Sugar Bear" Miller, 63, who passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 2:02 P.M. in Eunice.
Fr. Kory LaVergne, Pastor of St. Edward Catholic Church in Richard will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in the St. Edward Catholic Church Cemetery in Richard.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 6 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. Visitation will resume on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include his wife of forty six years, Diane R. Miller of Richard; one son, Ty and wife, Jennifer Miller of Rayne; one daughter, Tennille DiMartino and Freddie Lewis of Cromwell, CT; his mother, Mary Viola Benoit of Church Point; one brother, Ronald and wife, Charlee Miller of Springfield, CO; his mother-in-law, Eldine Richard of Richard; several nieces and nephews.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Leonce Miller; his father-in-law, Charlie Richard; his Godson, Heath Joseph Miller.
