Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2022 at the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel of Rayne, LA for Nalton Joseph Leger, 85, who died at 11:35 a.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at his residence in Maringouin, LA.
Deacon David Menard will conduct the funeral services and the burial will follow in the Saint Joseph Cemetery in Rayne, LA. Visitation may be observed on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
Mr. Leger was born October 15, 1937 in Rayne, LA to Louie and Elemine Sonnier Leger. He worked in the oil field most of his life. He enjoyed playing pool and loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Delta Breaux Leger of Maringouin, LA; 1 daughter, Ramona L. Friddle and her husband, Jeff of Maringouin, LA; 1 son, Ricky Leger and his wife, Nattie of Metairie, LA; 1 sister, Dorothy Pryor of Rayne, LA; 1 brother, Clifford Leger of Crowley; 4 grandsons, Justin, Jeffery and Jared Friddle and grant Leger and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Raywood and Dalton Leger and 2 sisters, Marjorie Leger and Lorena Fruge.
