Obituary for Gloria Guidry Credeur

 A Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 1:30 P.M. at St. Theresa Catholic Church Hall in Duson for Gloria A. Credeur, 83, who passed away at her home in Duson.
Fr. Aaron Melancon, Pastor of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Duson. Burial will be held in St. Theresa Catholic Church Cemetery in Duson.
The family has requested visitation to be held on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. until 9:00P.M. in St. Theresa Catholic Church Hall in Duson. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 6 o’clock in the Parish Hall in Duson. Visitation will resume on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include two daughters, Sheila and husband, James Benoit of Richard, Cheryl and husband, John Csaszar of Duson; one son, Tony Credeur and companion, Dana Richard of Duson; four sisters, Joyce and husband, Howard Babineaux of Carencro, Betty and husband, Patrick Prejean of Church Point, Geraldine Credeur of Scott, Beatrice and husband, Davis Lee Credeur of Duson; six grandchildren, Scotty Benoit, Cory Benoit, Shelbey and husband, Edmond Navarre,  Jacob and wife, Annette Csaszar,  Isom Csaszar, Cheyenne Credeur; five great-grandchildren, Hayden Castille and Kynsi Csaszar, and Tyler Csaszar, Haizlyn Benoit, Myles Benoit; godchildren, Judy Ann Carriere Reed, Aaron Credeur, Nickolas Melancon and Chris Desomeaux.
Ms. Credeur was preceded in death by her husband, Vin Credeur; one granddaughter, Crystal Castille; one daughter-in-law, Rachele Credeur, her parents, Antoine and Eula Mae Blanchard Guidry.
Ms. Gloria was born in Cankton, she was a graduate of Rayne High School in 1957, who later resided in Duson. As a legendary friend and beauty, Gloria was uniquely present and attentive to everyone she met. She was an easy host, a welcome guest, and never met a stranger. She was a Bonus Mom and Grandmother to many. She loved serving God as a traiteur (Faith Healer) healing many. She had an act for cake baking and decorating. She enjoyed camping, trail riding, sewing, dancing and riding her golf cart. She was a Representative for Avon in her community. She enjoyed spending many of her past days with her good friend and neighbor Elaine. She especially loved her fur baby Lu Lu.
Pallbearers for the services will be Scotty Benoit, Cory Benoit, Jacob Csaszar, Isom Csaszar, Hayden Castille and Edmond Navarre.
