Obituary for Janelle Stelly Beard
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Michael Catholic Church in Crowley for Janelle Stelly Beard, 84, who passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 11:05 A.M. at St. Joseph Carpenter House in Lafayette.
Fr. Mikel Polson, Pastor of St. Michael Catholic Church in Crowley will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in LeBlanc Cemetery in Midland.
The family has requested visitation to be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 6 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Thursday at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include one daughter, Melian Richard of Rayne; three sons, Patrick Charles Beard of Atlanta, GA, Terry Beard of Crowley, and Lloyd Beard of Crowley; one sister, Rhonda Grace Stelly of Lafayette; four grandchildren, Kristie and husband, Brady Breaux of Lafayette, Dyllon Jagneaux of Rayne, Rachel Beard of Atlanta, GA, and Timmy and wife, Loren Harden of Atlanta, GA; four great-grandchildren, Landon Jagneaux, Ryder Breaux, McKinlee and Aubree Harden; a host of nieces and nephews.
Ms. Beard was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Beard; her parents, Lloyd and Angela D. Stelly; two brothers, George and Burnell Stelly; one Godchild, Gene Guidry.
Pallbearers for the service will be, Terry Beard, Patrick Beard, Chad Beard, Josh Guidry, Michael Stelly and Brady Breaux.
