Obituary for Donald "PoP" Thibodeaux
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 2:00 P. M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point for Donald R. “Pop” Thibodeaux, 64, who passed away at his home in Church Point on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 7:42 A.M.
Deacon Winn from Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas
.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday at 6 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Wednesday at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include his companion, Cricket Castille of Church Point; one daughter, Desiree and husband, Junior Leger of Church Point; one son, Travis and wife, Kim Thibodeaux of Church Point; one step-daughter, Michelle and husband, Richie Olivier of Church Point; one step-son, Shane and wife, Sarah Olivier of Church Point; one sister, Sandra Perry of Grand Coteau; eight grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers for the services will be Bralyn Bellard, Junior Leger, R. J. Dupre, Haven Dominguez, Cade Disotell, Rodney Dupre, III, and Derick Pousson.
Mr. Thibodeaux was preceded in death by his parents, Moise and Vabie B. Thibodeaux; one sister, Judy Thibodeaux; one great nephew, Gavin Dupre.
In Lieu of flowers the family has ask to make donations for funeral expenses.
