Obituary for Emery Meaux Sr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne for Emery Meaux, Sr. , 80, who passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 4:40 A.M. at Southwind Nursing and Rehab Center in Crowley.
Fr. Brent Smith, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in St. Joseph Catholic Church New Cemetery in Rayne.
The family has requested public visitation to be held on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, at 6 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne. Visitation will resume on Tuesday at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include his three daughters, Theresa and husband, Edward Arcemont of Duson, Pamela and husband, David Seaux of Duson, Laurie and husband, Chris Leger of Rayne; one sister, Patsy Dupuis of Rayne; six grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Mr. Meaux was preceded in death by his wife, Amanda Meaux; one son, Emery Meaux, Jr.; one grandson, Devon Meaux; his parents, Estay and Odile A. Meaux; two brothers, Norris and Johnny Meaux.
